Bonjour Wild World

So me and my friends went to Spain.

On a post high school trip. We just finished the insidious and torturous period of our lives known as High School and we decided to celebrate the event with a super fun trip together to Lloret de Mar. And we visited Barcelona in the meantime, for a day.

Let me tell you. If you’re looking for some fiesta, then Lloret de Mar is definitely the right place. It is so fucking awesome. It’s basically just a street full of discos and from that lots of alleys diramate with pubs and stuff so there’s always something to do. And it is FULL of Italians. like it sounds like you’re in Italy. And I am Italian. So if you’re Italian and you want to mock someone or something, DO NOT do that in Italian. You’re screwed otherwise.

As for Barcelona, that is a very funny story. I have ALWAYS wanted to visit the Sagrada Familia, which is like one of the most beautiful things ever for me (I wanted to study Architecture at University, FYI). I went to Barcelona with three things in mind: the Sagrada Familia, the Pedrera (Gaudì’s house) and the MEAM (Museo Europeo de Arte Moderno). For what concerns the Sagrada Familia, I wasn’t able to see the inside of it because none of my friends were interested and wanted to wait the queue with me. The Pedrera was, of COURSE, the only fucking Gaudì house to be under work so it wasn’t accessible to the public. And I couldn’t even find the MEAM because people kept giving me different directions.

In short, my Barcelona trip was a total failure. However, I did visit a bit of the city which is more than enough since we only stayed there for a day, and I got to walk the Rambla (Barcelona’s most famous street which leads to the Harbor) and the harbor itself which is o cool. I didn’t see the beach which I know to be famous because it must be huge, but it’s fine. I mean to go back there as soon as I can so I will have more time to visit all the things I wanted to see. ;)

There is also this BEAUTIFUL AND HUGE market on the Rambla which sells all kinds of food and it just looks like heaven on hearth. Like seriously. Oh my God. Sweets, fruit and so much stuff at affordable prices. I bought ananas for 1 euro and it was like a mini snack, put into a box with a plastic fork and it was so cute! I would have spent hours in there. Oh, if only I lived in Barcelona…

In short, then, this post is meant to tell you that if you’re looking for a place of vacation then definitely try Spain. And this is said by someone who has never ever been interested in Spain before. But it really is worth the trip. Barcelona is a very big city and I love that about it, so if you’re not into that you might not like it as much as I did. Also because its main attractions are Gaudì’s works so there’s not much to see other that that, artitically speaking. But Barcelona itself is amazing. I loved it. Sooooo I suggest you go there as soon as you can. And Lloret de Mar, too, if you’re looking for some fun. They are only an hour of distance from each other by bus. :)

Have an awesome summer, guys!

Huge messes

Huge messes are huge messes. No way ‘round it, I’m afraid.

Especially when they involve your friends. And yourself, of course. And especially when they happen in particularly delicate moments of your life in which you would just like to fucking be relaxed and concentrate on some things. Not that your relationships aren’t important. I’m just saying.

All I wanted was something easy, for once, but it seems ‘easy’ isn’t really the word to describe my life, since none of the things I try to do ever go smooth.
